Saturday

Beautiful Saturday

I awoke this morning to find Dan working out in the backyard. He called me out there to come listen to sweet little chirping coming from our bottle brush tree. Several weeks before we had found a mama cardinal building a nest in there. When Dan's curiousity got the best of him, he had gone to spy and found three little eggs in a finely created nest. The way birds build a nest is amazing in itself, but to see the process in which the mama stays there hovering and caring for her eggs so diligently. From time to time, the papa would come and call her, her response was to fly out from the nest area to meet him and they would fly off together, as if to go find time for themselves. She would always return quickly and continue her nurturing. At several times we thought we had scared her off and that she wouldn't return. But she would.
So this morning after hearing the chirping we went and saw mama was gone but there in the little finely woven twigs were 3 beautiful new little lives. The way they swayed their tiny little heads in the air and opened their little beaks is incredible to watch. Makes me wonder how there are people out there that doubt there is a God. While all we need to do is look around.
Col. 1:16 - for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principlaities, or powers; all things were created by Him and for Him.
