Pineapple Banana Cake

Found this recipe many years ago and have made it several times.  Then this week I found myself making it for a friend as her special birthday treat.
It's a fabulous cake that's very moist and the combination of fruit will have you asking for another piece.  Try it- you'll be happy you did.

3 eggs (slightly beaten)
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. miracle whip salad dressing (yep, it's true)
3/4 c. oil (or apple sauce)
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. grd cinnamon
1 t. salt
1/4 t. grd nutmeg
1 (8oz) crushed pineapple (undrained)
1 c. mashed bananas

Heat oven to 350.  Beat eggs, sugar, dressing, oil and vanilla at med. speed until light n fluffy.  Add combined dry ingredients alternating with pineapple and bananas, mixing well after each.  Pour into greased n floured 13x9 pan.  Bake for 45-50 or until toothpick inserted shows done all the way.  Cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.  Makes 18 servings.

Happy birthday Nancy!
